Ingredients
Scale
1 pound cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed
12 ounces penne pasta, cooked al dente
1 (15 ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked penne pasta, Alfredo sauce, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until all ingredients are evenly coated.
Pour the chicken and pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
Sprinkle 3/4 cup of the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the mixture.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese on top. Return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the top cheese is golden brown and fully melted.
Let the bake rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can use rotisserie chicken to save preparation time.
For a richer flavor, use homemade Alfredo sauce instead of jarred.
If you prefer a crispier topping, broil for the last minute, watching closely to prevent burning.
