A simple, creamy casserole featuring ground beef, egg noodles, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for a quick family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups cooked egg noodles
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the browned beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, milk, parsley, pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Stir in the cooked egg noodles and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, substitute cream of chicken soup for one of the cans of soup.
  • You can replace the egg noodles with 2 cups of cooked rice or elbow macaroni.
  • Add 1 cup of frozen peas or sliced mushrooms when mixing the ingredients for added vegetables.
