Make soft, fluffy crinkle cookies using only three simple ingredients: cake mix, Cool Whip, and powdered sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) dry cake mix (any flavor)
  • 1 cup frozen whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the entire box of dry cake mix and the thawed whipped topping. Mix them together until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
  3. Pour the powdered sugar onto a shallow plate.
  4. Scoop the dough into tablespoon-sized balls. Roll each ball completely in the powdered sugar until fully coated.
  5. Place the coated dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between them.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. The cookies will look slightly puffy and set.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can use any flavor of cake mix you prefer, such as chocolate, yellow, or spice.
  • For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before rolling and baking.
  • If you want a crinkle effect, gently press down on the tops of the dough balls before baking.
