Make this creamy, cheesy garlic parmesan chicken bake for a flavorful weeknight dinner that requires minimal effort and tastes like comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry. Rub them with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place the seasoned chicken in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, chicken broth, and minced garlic. Pour this mixture evenly over the chicken.
  4. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the chicken and sauce mixture. If using, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the cheese.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the topping is golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, Ethan suggests adding a tiny pinch of smoked paprika to the cream sauce.
  • If you want a thicker sauce, reduce the heavy cream slightly or bake uncovered for the last 5 minutes.
  • This makes great leftovers for lunch the next day.
