Ingredients
Scale
4 Salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
1/4 cup Honey
3 tablespoons Soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
2 tablespoons Olive oil
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated (optional)
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
1 tablespoon Water
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger (if using), and black pepper to create the glaze.
Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush half of the honey garlic glaze evenly over the tops of the fillets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on fillet thickness, until the salmon is nearly cooked through.
While the salmon bakes, mix the remaining glaze with the lemon juice and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until it thickens slightly, about 2 minutes. Do not boil. This is your finishing sauce.
Remove the salmon from the oven. Brush the thickened finishing sauce over the cooked fillets.
Return the salmon to the oven for 1 to 2 more minutes to set the glaze. Watch closely to prevent burning.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For air frying: Cook at 380°F (195°C) for 10-12 minutes, brushing with the glaze halfway through cooking.
For pan-searing: Sear skin-side down for 4 minutes, flip, brush with glaze, and cook for another 3-5 minutes until done.
To prevent the glaze from burning, apply the final layer of sauce only during the last few minutes of cooking.
