Ingredients
Scale
1 pound small pasta (like elbow macaroni or rotini)
2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna in water, drained
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and rinse immediately with cold water to stop cooking. Set aside to cool completely.
In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, pickle relish, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
Add the cooled pasta to the tuna mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
Stir gently until the pasta is fully incorporated with the dressing and tuna.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
If you prefer a crunchier texture, add 1/2 cup of chopped carrots along with the celery.
This salad keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, making it perfect for meal prep.
